Every Child Matters T-Shirt - The Children Are Coming Home

Native Northwest's 2026 Every Child Matters Orange Shirt Day T-Shirt is designed by Deanna Samuel, Ditidaht, Nuu-chah-nulth. The design reflects Nuu-chah-nulth teachings that children are sacred and carry the future of their people through their teachings, songs, language, and strength. The phrase "The Children Are Coming Home" speaks to the return of children to their families, communities, and ancestors, and the ongoing healing and responsibility to protect future generations.

All proceeds from Every Child Matters Orange Shirt Day products will be directed to the Native Northwest Reconciliation Fund and the Ontario Indigenous Women’s Empowerment Fund.

The Native Northwest Reconciliation Fund supports individuals and families who continue to be impacted by Residential Schools and intergenerational trauma. 

The Ontario Indigenous Women’s Empowerment Fund focuses on advancing education, training, and opportunities for Indigenous women in Ontario, while addressing the pressing issues of poverty relief and community development.
